Report “Program of Stimulation of Precipitation” National Commission of Irrigation – 2013
Complete report by the National Irrigation Commission in 2013, which evaluates the programs carried out in Chile during that year. It also contains very relevant information about Physical principles and some experiences in other countries.
This project was executed aerially in the regions of Coquimbo and Atacama; and with Terrestrial Generators in the Regions of Valparaíso and O’Higgins, executed by HIDROMET SA. Álvaro Martínez, currently General Manager of METTECH SPA, directed the design, construction and operation of the Iodide de Plata Terrestrial Generators network.
In the scope of results, in the regions of Atacama and Coquimbo, no results were obtained; in the regions of Valparaíso and O’Higgins, a 10% increase in rainfall was obtained.
